Phelia Duel by user2641711

Format: Commander

Commander: Phelia, Exuberant Shepherd

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a mono-white tempo/blink deck built around Phelia, Exuberant Shepherd. The plan is to land Phelia on turn two and use her attack trigger to repeatedly blink value permanents - drawing cards with Thraben Inspector and Arcum's Astrolabe, making Golems with Blade Splicer, resetting exile effects like Parallax Wave and Skyclave Apparition, and doubling token engines such as Ocelot Pride and Overlord of the Mistmoors. A suite of cheap protection (Mother of Runes, Giver of Runes, Benevolent Bodyguard, Skrelv, Defector Mite) keeps Phelia alive, while Thalia, Guardian of Thraben, Drannith Magistrate, and Voice of Victory tax opposing game plans. The deck wins by grinding out incremental advantage into a wide evasive board, with Cataclysm as a one-sided reset and Skullclamp/Staff of the Storyteller converting tokens into cards. It is shaped like a Duel-Commander tempo list; in a four-player pod it aims to out-value rather than combo.
