Captain America by user9490484

Format: Commander

Commander: Captain America, Team Leader

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Jeskai Hero-tribal +1/+1-counter deck built around Captain America, Team Leader, who converts every subsequent Hero cast into an immediate hasty, vigilant attacker and snowballs counters onto both the new Hero and himself. The 99 is a density list of legendary Heroes and counter-synergy payoffs: Cathars' Crusade, Danny Pink, Herald of Secret Streams, and All Will Be One turn a wide, counter-laden board into card draw, evasion, and direct damage. Card flow comes from Kindred Discovery, Avengers Assemble!, SP//dr, Piloted by Peni, and attack-trigger exile-play engines such as Director Nick Fury, Arana, Heart of the Spider, and Scarlet Witch, Chaotic Avenger. The deck closes through combat: extra combats from Aurelia, the Warleader and Karlach, Fury of Avernus, double strike from War Machine, Avenging Arsenal, X-damage from Ghost-Spider, Gwen Stacy, and free spells off Cosmic Cube. It is a fair, value-heavy midrange deck with no infinite combos, winning through overwhelming combat math.
