Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari Goad and Aristocrats engine commanded by Rendmaw, Creaking Nest. The strategy focuses on casting dual-type cards—including artifact creatures, enchantment creatures, kindred spells, and artifact lands—to trigger Rendmaw repeatedly. Each trigger creates 2/2 flying Bird tokens for every player that remain goaded for the rest of the game. This forces opponents to attack one another, rapidly reducing opposing life totals while shielding your own. As opponents battle each other, the deck leverages the token explosion with aristocrat payoffs like Mirkwood Bats, Blood Artist, and Bastion of Remembrance, or asymmetric sweepers like Massacre Wurm and Culling Ritual to convert opposing bird swarms into lethal damage. Supported by dense ramp and strong draw engines such as Baba Lysaga, Night Witch and Pygmy Kavu, the deck smoothly translates political combat chaos into a decisive finish by Turn 7.
