Deck overview

Nicol Bolas, the Ravager headlines a Grixis Superfriends control deck designed to suppress the board and grind out overwhelming advantage. The front face disrupts opposing hands and provides an early flying blocker before transforming into Nicol Bolas, the Arisen, a planeswalker engine that generates card advantage, reanimates threats, and decimates libraries. The primary game plan deploys a critical mass of planeswalkers supported by proliferate engines like Flux Channeler and Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus. Victory is achieved by executing game-ending ultimates with Nicol Bolas, Dragon-God, chaining extra turns through Ichormoon Gauntlet and The Chain Veil, or resolving a devastating Torment of Hailfire.
