Deck overview

This deck is a five-color Dragon tribal and reanimator toolbox commanded by Scion of the Ur-Dragon. The primary game plan focuses on ramping during Turns 1 through 3 with color-fixing sorceries, artifacts, and cost-reducing shamans to cast Scion on Turn 5. Once Scion is active, it functions as a repeatable tutor that buries dragons directly into the graveyard to copy their stats and triggered abilities on demand. Key targets include Atarka, World Render for lethal double-strike commander damage, Drakuseth, Maw of Flames for board wiping, Nicol Bolas for total hand discard, and Silumgar, the Drifting Death for instant-speed hexproof protection. Secondary lines leverage reanimation spells like Animate Dead, Persist, and Rivaz of the Claw to bring back discarded behemoths, swarming the board with token doublers like Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm and Utvara Hellkite to overwhelm the table by Turn 8.
