Deck overview

This Queen Marchesa deck utilizes a classic Aikido control strategy, leveraging the opponent's power and aggression to orchestrate their downfall. The early game focuses on developing mana and establishing Queen Marchesa on Turn 4 to introduce the Monarch mechanic, generating consistent card advantage while discouraging incoming attacks with deathtouch rattlesnakes. The midgame deploys damage reflectors like Brash Taunter, Phyrexian Vindicator, and Boros Reckoner, alongside redirection auras such as Pariah. On Turn 6, the deck initiates its critical onset through mass goad spells like Taunt from the Rampart and Disrupt Decorum, forcing opposing boards to decimate one another in combat. The remaining opponents are eliminated over two response cycles using explosive combat punishers like Deflecting Palm, Comeuppance, and Molten Primordial, closing the game on Turn 8.
