Deck overview

This deck is a Simic Sea Monster big-mana stompy strategy commanded by Arixmethes, Slumbering Isle. The game plan leverages efficient early ramp and Arixmethes's 2-mana land mode to reach 6 to 8 mana by Turn 4. From there, the deck casts cascading engines such as Kiora, Sovereign of the Deep and Imoti, Celebrant of Bounty, deploying massive Krakens, Leviathans, Octopuses, and Serpents. Casting spells removes slumber counters from Arixmethes, converting it into a lethal 12/12 attacker. Asymmetric board wipes like Whelming Wave and Scourge of Fleets clear opposing blockers while leaving your board intact. Although vulnerable to well-timed board sweepers and lacking instant-speed combo kills, the deck generates overwhelming board presence, evasion, and steady card advantage that steadily crushes opponents through combat over three rotations.
