Deck overview

This deck is a dedicated Mono-Red Dragon Stompy strategy commanded by Lathliss, Dragon Queen. The game plan revolves around deploying early cost reducers and mana rocks to power out Lathliss by Turn 5. Once established, each subsequent nontoken Dragon cast creates a 5/5 flying Dragon token, creating rapid board presence. Key synergies like Dragon Tempest and Scourge of Valkas convert these entrances into immediate lethal burn, while Terror of Mount Velus, Utvara Hellkite, and extra combat engines quickly multiply the damage clock. The deck protects its primary threats using elite targeted redirects such as Deflecting Swat and Bolt Bend, while leveraging one-sided wipes like Breath Weapon and Draconic Intervention to dismantle opposing creature boards without harming its own Dragons. While vulnerable to non-damage board wipes and lacking enchantment removal, the deck's sheer density of evasive threats provides strong recovery and formidable combat pressure.
