Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black attrition and group-slug strategy built around Sheoldred, the Apocalypse. The core game plan focuses on turning the most fundamental action in Magic—drawing cards—into a lethal liability for opponents while converting it into life buffer for the pilot. By combining Sheoldred with forced symmetric draw and wheel effects such as Teferi's Puzzle Box, Dark Deal, and Font of Mythos, the deck rapidly shreds opposing life totals in large chunks. Supporting the primary burn plan is a deep package of black removal, stax-lite board suppression via Archfiend of Depravity and The Immortal Sun, and big mana generation using Cabal Coffers and Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth to cast game-ending Torment of Hailfire or Exsanguinate spells. Additionally, the deck contains an infinite life-drain combo between Bloodthirsty Conqueror and Enduring Tenacity, providing an instant table kill whenever either piece is triggered.
