Neckusar, the Necked by user6218195

Format: Commander

Commander: Nekusar, the Mindrazer

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Nekusar is a single-faced commander and the deck's engine: he adds a card to every draw step and converts each opponent's draw into 1 damage. The primary plan is to ramp into Nekusar, deploy draw-punishment permanents, then resolve Wheels and mass-draw effects to drain all opponents at once. Secondary paths include Grafted Exoskeleton infect (two Wheels = lethal poison), Isochron Scepter + Dramatic Reversal infinite mana into The Locust God, Exquisite Blood + Sanguine Bond, and Kiki-Jiki + Spark Double. Naktamun Lorespinner acts as an extra Wheel of Fortune rather than a hidden commander. Without Nekusar the deck still has draw-punishers and combos, but the fast damage clock he provides is the reason the deck wins.
