Deck overview

This is a mono-black aristocrats deck centered on Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker. Small creatures such as Dusk Legion Zealot, Burglar Rat, Serrated Scorpion, and Greedy Freebooter are sacrificed for value, then return at the next end step if Shirei survives. Sacrifice outlets including Viscera Seer, Carrion Feeder, and Ashnod's Altar convert those creatures into scrying, mana, or other benefits. Zulaport Cutthroat, Blood Artist, Bastion of Remembrance, and Agent of the Iron Throne turn deaths into incremental life loss. The plan is coherent and can generate strong recurring value, but it is slow to assemble and highly dependent on one five-mana commander. Its removal is useful against creatures and enchantments, yet it lacks stack interaction and has weak answers to artifacts. The deck can eventually win through repeated drains, Crypt Rats, or Gray Merchant of Asphodel, but it does not present a reliable compact finish.
