Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius Spellslinger Voltron deck commanded by Lyse Hext. It leverages cheap noncreature spells, cantrips, and aura enhancements to rapidly grow the commander through prowess while triggering innate double strike. By casting two or more noncreature spells each turn, the deck converts minor utility and protection spells into overwhelming combat pressure. Evasive enchantments like Steel of the Godhead and Idolized ensure attacks connect directly for lethal commander damage, while an extensive suite of one- and two-mana protection spells shields the board against opposing removal. Secondary go-wide token producers such as Monastery Mentor, Aligned Heart, and Hermes, Overseer of Elpis provide a wider offensive footprint and insulate the strategy against sacrifice effects.
