Deck overview

This deck is a classic Mardu aggressive sneak-attack build commanded by Kaalia of the Vast. The primary strategy focuses on deploying Kaalia on Turn 3 or 4, protecting her with haste-enabling equipment like Lightning Greaves or Swiftfoot Boots, and attacking immediately to cheat massive Angels, Demons, and Dragons onto the battlefield tapped and attacking. The deck features immediate lethal burst through Master of Cruelties, devastating asymmetric board locks through Avacyn, Angel of Hope paired with Armageddon, and disruptive stax elements such as Linvala, Keeper of Silence and Iona, Shield of Emeria. While it operates with 36 basic lands and modest early card draw, dense redundancy among its 20+ flying threats ensures consistent pressure. If Kaalia is answered, secondary enablers like Quicksilver Amulet and Rakdos, Lord of Riots allow the deck to hard-cast and cheat threats effectively in the midgame.
