Deck overview

This deck is a focused Gruul Stompy build centered around Xenagos, God of Revels. It leverages a dense suite of 1-mana and 2-mana ramp pieces to consistently deploy Xenagos on Turn 3. On Turn 4, the deck casts a high-power creature that immediately gains haste and doubles in power via Xenagos's combat trigger, presenting a massive threat that demands an answer. From this Turn 4 onset, the deck uses trample, evasion, and extra combat phases to eliminate opponents one by one, aiming to conclude the game around Turn 6. Card advantage is largely tied to creature power through spells like Greater Good and Rishkar's Expertise. While the deck features outstanding board presence and resilient commander typings, its reliance on combat damage leaves it vulnerable to well-timed spot removal, chump blockers, and heavy interaction.
