Deck overview

This Boros Voltron deck weaponizes Lightning, Army of One to rapidly eliminate opponents through accelerated commander damage and combat multiplication. Lightning's built-in first strike, trample, and lifelink combine devastatingly with her Stagger trigger, which doubles all subsequent damage dealt to defending players. By pairing Lightning with massive power-boosting Equipment such as Colossus Hammer, Buster Sword, and Inquisitor's Flail, alongside double strike enablers like Duelist's Heritage, the deck can dish out 39 or more commander damage in a single combat step to knock out an opponent as early as Turn 4. The deck circumvents Boros mana and equip friction using cost-cheaters like Sigarda's Aid, Puresteel Paladin, and Bruenor Battlehammer, while an extensive tutor suite guarantees seamless access to critical weapons. Comprehensive protection from Grand Abolisher, Mother of Runes, and Sunforger shields the commander, while an infinite combat combo between Combat Celebrant and Helm of the Host provides a potent alternative table kill.
