Format: Commander

Commander: Kastral, the Windcrested

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Kastral, the Windcrested leads a Bird tribal tempo deck that floods the board with cheap evasive creatures, then uses Kastral's combat trigger to reanimate Birds from hand or graveyard, pump the flock, and draw into more gas. The primary path is a wide flying army backed by anthem effects like Empyrean Eagle, Favorable Winds, and Steel-Plume Marshal. Secondary paths include token generation from Battle Screech, Murmuration, and Falcon and Redwing, plus a resilient endgame via Sephara, Sky's Blade and Teferi's Protection. Kastral is the engine; no hidden commander is required, though Kangee, Sky Warden and Steel-Plume Marshal serve as backup lords.
