Y'shtola, Night's Blessed helms an Esper control-drain shell. The primary plan is to keep the board clear with cheap removal and counterspells, then resolve Y'shtola and turn every mana value 3+ noncreature spell into 2 damage to each opponent and 2 life. Card advantage comes from her end-step draw once a player has lost 4+ life, usually satisfied by casting two such spells in a turn. Papalymo Totolymo acts as a hidden lieutenant, adding 1 point of drain per noncreature spell. Secondary paths are Sanguine Bond amplifying all lifegain into damage, Bolas's Citadel chains, and Shark Typhoon/Teferi as token/planeswalker finishers.
