Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Dimir Control and Combo list commanded by Talion, the Kindly Lord. The strategy controls early game tempo through efficient mana acceleration, low-cost countermagic, and asymmetric taxing effects before executing a compact combo finish. Talion, the Kindly Lord generates steady card advantage and life attrition by naming common mana values (typically 2). The deck restricts opponents with hate pieces like Cursed Totem, Narset, Parter of Veils, and Notion Thief. It quickly searches out its primary win condition, Thassa's Oracle paired with Demonic Consultation, to win on the stack. Backup lines include Jace, Wielder of Mysteries, Doomsday, and Hullbreaker Horror loops, backed by resilient graveyard recursion via Reanimate and strong free counterspells like Force of Will and Pact of Negation.
