Deck overview

This deck is a five-color midrange strategy commanded by Niv-Mizzet Reborn. The primary game plan focuses on fixing mana across all five colors during the first three turns using mana dorks, artifacts, and land search spells. On Turn 5, casting Niv-Mizzet Reborn refills your hand by drawing an average of three to four dual-color guild spells from the top ten cards of the library. With a loaded hand, the deck transitions into the midgame by resolving dominant flying threats such as Atarka, World Render, Aurelia, the Warleader, and Dragonlord Dromoka. These creatures quickly accumulate lethal airborne damage while flexible removal spells like Assassin's Trophy, Anguished Unmaking, and Supreme Verdict clear opposing obstacles. The deck secures victories through heavy combat steps, utilizing cards like Taunt from the Rampart to bypass opposing blockers and prevent crackbacks.
