Deck overview

This Azorius artifact deck is commanded by Mendicant Core, Guidelight, a scaling artifact creature that leverages the Speed mechanic to duplicate artifact spells in the mid game. The strategy revolves around assembling low-cost artifact mana, Vehicles, and token generators such as Sai, Master Thopterist and Thopter Spy Network. Once a high speed is unlocked through regular combat damage, the commander enables rapid board expansion by copying artifact spells for a single mana. Card advantage is fueled by cast-trigger draw engines like Vedalken Archmage and Uthros Research Craft, alongside affinity spells like Thought Monitor and Thoughtcast. The deck closes games around Turn 6 to 8 through overwhelming combat steps powered by Cyberdrive Awakener, Kappa Cannoneer, Master of Etherium, and Myr Battlesphere, supported by efficient spot removal and one-sided sweeps like Organic Extinction.
