Y'shtola, Night's Blessed leads an Esper control/attrition deck built around two powerful engines: she draws a card at any end step when a player lost 4 or more life that turn, and she drains each opponent for 2 whenever you cast a noncreature spell with mana value 3 or greater. The list leans heavily into noncreature spells - enchantments, artifacts, instants, and sorceries - and supports them with a dense pillowfort/prison package: Ghostly Prison, Propaganda, Sphere of Safety, Norn's Annex, Web of Inertia, Koskun Falls, and Marchesa's Decree. Win conditions are incremental rather than combo-based: repeatable drain from Papalymo Totolymo, Enduring Tenacity, Witch of the Moors, and Fandaniel, Telophoroi Ascian soften the table, and a large Exsanguinate amplified by The Wind Crystal and copied by Narset's Reversal finishes the game. Recursion from Restoration Seminar, Replenish, and Ishgard, the Holy See // Faith & Grief makes the deck extremely difficult to fully shut down.
