Deck overview

This deck is a mono-red resource-denial and Voltron strategy helmed by Fin Fang Foom. The primary plan leverages Fin Fang Foom's ability to duplicate any instant or sorcery targeting a land or artifact while growing by two +1/+1 counters per cast. Backed by an extraordinarily dense suite of targeted land destruction spells like Pillage, Demolish, Earth Rift, and Rain of Salt, the deck systematically dismantles opponents' mana bases two lands at a time while growing its flying commander into a lethal attacker. Support pieces such as Storm-Kiln Artist provide mana rebate, while All Will Be One and Thor, God of Thunder convert spellcasting and counters into additional reach. Because Fin Fang Foom must swing individually across multiple combats to eliminate a four-player pod, the deck pairs its denial with steady commander damage to close games.
