Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Simic +1/+1 counters and token swarm strategy helmed by The Astonishing Ant-Man. The game plan centers on turning every drawn card into +1/+1 counters on the commander, which are subsequently converted into a wide swarm of 1/1 green Insect tokens. The deck features powerful synergy pieces like Branching Evolution and Adrix and Nev, Twincasters to multiply counters and token output, while Skullclamp creates a potent draw engine by converting 1/1 Insects into fresh cards that reload Ant-Man. Standalone threats like Ezuri, Claw of Progress and Railway Brawler offer resilient backup development. The deck wins by overwhelming opponents in combat using massive overrun effects like Craterhoof Behemoth, Jubilation, or evasive flight from Combine Chrysalis. An efficient suite of low-cost countermagic and protection spells defends the board against sweepers during critical closing turns.
