Deck overview

This deck is an explosive mono-green synergy engine helmed by Grothama, All-Devouring. Rather than playing Grothama merely as a 10/8 beater, the deck turns its unique fight and death triggers into a massive card-drawing engine and token generator. Early turns establish mana acceleration using green ramp spells and artifacts like Emerald Medallion. On Turn 4, the deck deploys Grothama alongside damage-sponge creatures such as Hornet Nest and Broodhatch Nantuko or sacrifice outlets like Greater Good. On Turn 5, attacking creatures fight Grothama or sacrifice it to draw 10 or more cards in a single burst or create a swarm of 10 tokens. The influx of cards allows the deck to flood the board with colossal threats like Ghalta, Primal Hunger, Impervious Greatwurm, and Psychosis Crawler. On Turn 6, the deck closes out the game with overwhelming combat damage via Overwhelming Stampede and trample enablers, supported by a deep package of cheap protective instants.
