Deck overview

This deck is a mono-white stax and blink midrange strategy commanded by Monk Gyatso. Its game plan centers on establishing early, oppressive tax and restriction pieces such as Drannith Magistrate, Archon of Emeria, Phyrexian Censor, and Deafening Silence. These symmetric locks severely disrupt opponents' fast combos and spell velocity while leaving this deck largely unhindered. Once the table is constrained, Monk Gyatso turns 0-mana targeting effects like Nomads en-Kor or Shuko into repeatable blink outlets. By airbending friendly creatures into exile, you can reuse powerful enter-the-battlefield triggers, dodge targeted removal, and trigger token generators. The deck wins by converting this insurmountable resource disparity into an unanswerable combat clock using Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward, completed dungeon mechanics via White Plume Adventurer, and passive life drain from Glaring Fleshraker.
