Deck overview

This Grixis spellslinger deck leverages Fire Lord Azula as a high-velocity value engine and combat threat. Azula's Firebending 2 ability generates two red mana each combat step, while her second ability copies any spell cast while she is attacking. This allows the deck to extract double value from card draw spells like Demand Answers and Big Score, or double up combat buffs like Unleash Fury and Bulk Up to threaten sudden commander damage eliminations. To finish the entire table simultaneously, the list relies on the classic Dualcaster Mage plus Twinflame or Molten Duplication infinite loop. Supported by a robust suite of efficient black and blue tutors, premium card draw engines like The One Ring and Rhystic Study, and format-defining free protection spells including Fierce Guardianship, Deflecting Swat, and Force of Will, the deck transitions smoothly from mid-game value into an immediate same-turn table finish.
