Format: Commander

Commander: Fire Lord Azula

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Grixis spellslinger deck built around Fire Lord Azula's attack-triggered copying. The primary plan is to cast Azula, attack with her, and then chain mana-positive draw spells that are copied, generating both card advantage and Treasure while pinging opponents through magecraft payoffs. Professor Onyx is the main finisher, converting each cast or copy into life drain, with Thousand-Year Storm and Veyran multiplying those triggers. The deck has no infinite combos; it wins through sustained copied-spell chains, with Azula, Cunning Usurper and Melek as backup copy/value engines. Interaction is flexible and mostly instant-speed, but the deck is dependent on Azula surviving to attack.
