Deck overview

This Simic deck is led by Kiora, Sovereign of the Deep, focusing on ramping aggressively into massive Krakens, Leviathans, Octopuses, and Serpents. Whenever a sea monster is cast from hand, Kiora looks at the top X cards of the library and casts another spell of lesser mana value for free. This pseudo-cascade engine doubles creature deployment and cheat high-impact spells into play. The deck pairs this raw board velocity with asymmetric board wipes like Whelming Wave, Scourge of Fleets, and Summon: Leviathan, which clear opposing creatures while leaving the sea monster armada untouched. Evasion enablers such as Serpent of Yawning Depths, Archetype of Imagination, and Stormtide Leviathan ensure combat damage connects unhindered. Supported by power-based card draw engines and built-in protection mechanics like ward, shroud, and hexproof, the deck steadily overwhelms the table with massive sea beasts by Turn 7.
