Deck overview

This Mono-Blue control deck leverages enter-the-battlefield abilities, flicker triggers, and clone mechanics to out-value opponents before closing with overwhelming theft or infinite mana loops. Led by Sakashima the Impostor, the deck copies the best creatures on the table while bypassing the legend rule. Early turns focus on mana acceleration, cantrips, and defensive speed-bumps like Propaganda and Bloodthirsty Blade. By Turn 5, engines like Conjurer's Closet, Panharmonicon, or Y'shtola Rhul generate card draw and tempo with Mulldrifter and Aether Channeler. On Turn 7, high-impact closers such as Agent of Treachery and Tidespout Tyrant begin stripping opposing boards, creating a dominant game state. The deck can also close out games instantly using the Deadeye Navigator and Peregrine Drake infinite mana combo to steal or bounce every opposing permanent. Strong countermagic and defensive bounce spells keep the engine safe until victory is secured.
