Deck overview

This Esper midrange-control list turns Y'shtola, Night's Blessed into a drain-and-draw engine. Each noncreature spell with mana value 3 or greater pings every opponent for 2 and gains 2 life; she then draws at each end step if anyone lost 4+ life. Expensive spells like Smothering Tithe, Black Market Connections, and Wound Reflection keep that trigger firing, while Propaganda and Norn's Annex stall attackers. The primary win is Exquisite Blood plus Sanguine Bond, a commander-independent table kill. Secondary clocks are Wound Reflection amplifying her pings, a large Exsanguinate, and aura combat with Curiosity or Helm of the Ghastlord on Y'shtola or her clones (Spark Double, Auton Soldier). She is the best aura host and the main advantage engine, but the combo and interaction suite still operate without her, and at four mana she is easy to recast.
