Deck overview

Baron Helmut Zemo is a mono-black connive-and-reanimate value engine. The deck turns every hand-cast black spell into a draw-discard trigger, stocking a graveyard whose black-mana symbols unlock Baron's boast. From that pile he can free-cast up to three spells-typically Temporal Extortion, Pox Plague, and Peer into the Abyss-to drain all opponents and buy extra turns. Secondary plans are midrange reanimation through Living Death, Fated Return, and Afterlife from the Loam, plus a Doom/empty-library finish. Villain synergies from M.O.D.O.K., Doctor Doom, and Moonstone accelerate draw. The commander is the primary engine, but the deck has enough independent draw and recursion to function at moderate efficiency without him.
