Deck overview

Felothar the Steadfast leads an Abzan toughness-matters deck. The primary plan is to build a wide board of high-toughness defenders and cheap walls, then turn them sideways once Felothar removes defender's attack restriction. Doran, the Siege Tower, Assault Formation, Bedrock Tortoise, and Baldin act as hidden commanders that provide the same toughness-damage effect. Felothar's activated ability is also a draw engine: sacrificing a 0/13 creature draws thirteen cards with no discard. Baldin and Towering Titan convert that card advantage and board size into lethal attacks, while Betor, Kin to All and Blight Pile add global life-loss pressure. Colfenor's Urn and recursion spells allow the deck to rebuild after wipes.
