Format: Commander

Commander: Ghave, Guru of Spores

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Ghave, Guru of Spores sits at the center of an Abzan counters-and-tokens engine. The primary plan is to generate +1/+1 counters and Saproling/Squirrel tokens, then convert them into board-wide pump or sacrifice value. Secondary paths are aggressive go-wide beatdown with Intangible Virtue/Cathars' Crusade and drain effects from Bastion of Remembrance, Corpse Knight, or Slimefoot. Ghave acts as a repeatable converter: counters into Saprolings and Saprolings into counters, enabling several infinite loops. There is no hidden commander; the listed double-faced cards are support, not a second general. The deck can win through drain triggers or a single huge combat step with pumped tokens.
