Deck overview

This deck is an Esper reanimator and dungeon synergy strategy helmed by Sefris of the Hidden Ways. The primary game plan revolves around binning high-impact creatures into the graveyard using direct tutors like Entomb and Buried Alive or looters like Likeness Looter and Tortured Existence. Moving cards to the graveyard triggers Sefris to venture into dungeons such as the Undercity or Lost Mine of Phandelver. Completing a dungeon activates Sefris's Create Undead ability to recur massive, game-dominating threats like Archon of Cruelty, Toxrill, the Corrosive, and Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite. Supported by a robust counterspell package and targeted removal, the deck controls opposing boards through asymmetric attrition and shrinks opposing creature presence while swinging with evasive beaters to close out the game over multiple combat cycles.
