Commander: Thorin, King of Durin's Folk

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Boros Dwarf deck is built around Thorin, King of Durin's Folk as a Treasure-printing engine: every Dwarf that enters, token or not, makes a Treasure, while Thorin pumps his kin based on artifact tokens. Magda, Brazen Outlaw functions as a hidden commander, turning Dwarf taps and Treasures into artifact/Dragon tutoring. The deck accelerates through token multipliers such as Roaming Throne, Xorn, Academy Manufactor, and Cadric, Soul Kindler, then finishes either by attacking with a wide boosted Dwarf army carrying Equipment, through Dain of the Ancient Halls' attack trigger, or by tutoring Hellkite Tyrant and winning on the 20-artifact upkeep. Interaction and protection pieces keep Thorin and Magda alive, but the extremely light 12-land mana base makes the early game fragile and white-heavy hands risky.
