Commander: Zaffai, Thunder Conductor

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck is a high-mana spellslinger strategy helmed by Zaffai, Thunder Conductor. The primary game plan revolves around ramping into massive instants and sorceries (mana value 5 or greater) to trigger Zaffai's magecraft abilities, flooding the board with 4/4 Elemental tokens and dealing chunks of 10 random damage to opponents. Rather than relying on traditional infinite combos, the deck uses cost reducers, rituals, and treasure generators to chain together explosive turns. By copying huge spells like Explosive Singularity or Hit the Mother Lode, the deck generates overwhelming value and direct damage. Secondary win conditions include a massive Grapeshot storm turn or drawing the entire deck with Laboratory Maniac. The deck plays as a synergistic, big-mana engine that turns clunky spells into game-ending threats.
