Deck overview

This deck executes an explosive Boros Voltron strategy powered by the partner pairing of Rograkh, Son of Rohgahh and Ardenn, Intrepid Archaeologist. By deploying Rograkh for zero mana on Turn 1 and casting Ardenn on Turn 3, the deck completely bypasses standard equip costs through Ardenn's beginning-of-combat trigger. Massive equipment pieces such as Colossus Hammer, Commander's Plate, and Blackblade Reforged turn Rograkh into an evasive lethal attacker on Turn 3, leveraging his native menace, trample, and first strike. The 99 is densely packed with redundant stat-boosting equipment, dedicated aura/equipment tutors, efficient Boros removal, and comprehensive protection tools like Lightning Greaves and Deflecting Swat. While the primary plan relies on sequential combat elimination over multiple turn cycles, an infinite combat loop with Aggravated Assault and Sword of Feast and Famine provides a compact burst finish when sufficient mana is assembled.
