Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Mardu combat engine helmed by Isshin, Two Heavens as One. The strategy focuses on curving out aggressively, establishing Isshin on turn three, and following up with creatures and permanents featuring powerful attack-triggered abilities. With Isshin in play, attack triggers duplicate, converting modest combat swings into explosive value and damage. Cards like Mardu Ascendancy and Warchief Giant flood the battlefield with attacking tokens, while Fervent Charge grants massive +4/+4 buffs across all attackers. Extra combat enablers such as Aurelia, the Warleader and Combat Celebrant amplify this pressure by stacking combat phases. While the deck boasts high redundancy in combat threats, it lacks dedicated tutors, robust card draw engines, and stack-based protection, making it reliant on raw draw steps and vulnerable to well-timed board wipes. When uninterrupted, it establishes a must-answer combat presence by turn five and eliminates the table around turn seven.
