Hobbit Gobs by Prophot

Format: Commander

Commander: The Great Goblin

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

The Great Goblin leads an aggressive Rakdos aristocrats and tribal counters strategy. The deck synergizes Goblin, Orc, and Army tokens with counter-placement mechanics (such as amass, blight, and +1/+1 counters) to trigger the commander's direct damage while turning creature deaths into continuous impulse card advantage. While the deck can overwhelm opponents through wide combat buffs like Shared Animosity and Krenko token swarms, its primary competitive path is assembling infinite persist sacrifice loops. Using persist creatures like Putrid Goblin or Murderous Redcap alongside counter modifiers and sacrifice outlets, the deck consistently converts board state into lethal burn.
