Format: Commander

Commander: Marchesa, the Black Rose

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Marchesa, the Black Rose leads a Grixis value-sacrifice deck. The plan is to put +1/+1 counters on creatures via dethrone, Feast on the Fallen, or First Day of Class, then sacrifice them to outlets so Marchesa returns them at the next end step. Secondary paths include persist loops with First Day of Class combined with Zulaport Cutthroat or Goblin Bombardment, and mass theft effects that steal, attack, and then keep creatures. The commander is the glue rather than an enabler; the deck can still loop persist/undying without her, but she provides the best protection and repeatable recursion.
