Deck overview

This is a mono-black discard/madness value engine helmed by M.O.D.O.K., whose connive ability doubles as both a repeatable draw engine and the deck's primary discard outlet. Every discard triggers a dense web of payoffs: Faith of the Devoted and Feast of Sanity drain the table, Bone Miser converts discards into zombies, mana, or cards, Archfiend of Ifnir and Ruthless Sniper shrink boards, and madness cards like Gisa's Bidding and Big Game Hunter are cast from the discard. Containment Construct and Moonstone, Harsh Mistress let the deck play the cards it discards. The deck wins through incremental life-drain (Psychosis Crawler, Gixian Puppeteer, Sheoldred, the Apocalypse), a massive Exsanguinate or Gray Merchant of Asphodel with Crypt Ghast doubling swamps, or Bolas's Citadel chains. Baron Helmut Zemo offers a burst line by copying black spells from the graveyard.
