Deck overview

This deck is a Jund attrition strategy built around -1/-1 counter mechanics and commander Auntie Ool, Cursewretch. The primary game plan develops mana on early turns, casts Auntie Ool on Turn 4, and begins distributing -1/-1 counters across both sides of the board. Counters placed on your creatures draw cards, while counters placed on opposing creatures drain life from their controllers. On Turn 6, the deck establishes a decisive lock using Kulrath Knight to disable opposing attackers and blockers, or clears the table with Carnifex Demon and Soul Snuffers. Payoffs like Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons and Flourishing Defenses generate large token armies to attack unhindered, closing out the game on Turn 8. The deck features versatile spot removal and strong creature reanimation, but lacks stack interaction and instant-speed board protection.
