Ashaya's Primal Surge by DCTdrums

Format: Commander

Commander: Ashaya's Enduring Bond

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Gruul big-mana beatdown deck built around Ashaya's Enduring Bond, a legendary sorcery that converts the mana spent on it into a Discover trigger. The primary plan is to ramp quickly, deploy cost-reduction pieces such as Goreclaw and Surrak and Goreclaw, and then cheat out enormous threats via cascade, Genesis Wave, Primal Surge, and Monster Manual. The commander acts as a repeatable, if modestly costed, value spell that becomes more powerful only when recast multiple times. The deck's hidden commanders are Karlach, Fury of Avernus (extra combat) and Ghalta, Stampede Tyrant (dumping the hand). Wins typically come from a massive hasted board wiping out all opponents in one or two combat phases.
