Deck overview

This Dimir Zombie tribal deck is commanded by Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver and focuses on aristocrat sacrifice engines, token generation, and graveyard recursion. In the early turns, the deck ramps using efficient 2-mana artifacts and deploys low-cost Zombie fodder like Gravecrawler and Stitcher's Supplier. Once Wilhelt enters on Turn 4, every dying nontoken Zombie creates a 2/2 decayed Zombie token, doubling the deck's sacrifice fuel and fueling steady end-step card draw. As the midgame develops, payoffs such as Diregraf Captain, Plague Belcher, Blood Artist, and Undead Augur convert creature deaths into life drain and card advantage. Late-game swings are powered by mass reanimation spells like Living Death and high-ceiling enablers like Rooftop Storm. While the deck lacks direct tutors and hard stax locks, its high tribal synergy, resilient token production, and layered redundancy make it an enduring combat and drain threat.
