Deck overview

This Simic deck is helmed by The Astonishing Ant-Man, centering on a tight synergy between card drawing, +1/+1 counters, and token generation. Every drawn card places counters on Ant-Man, which can then be converted into an expanding army of 1/1 green Insect tokens. The list is packed with efficient 1-2 CMC ramp and dense draw engines like Rhystic Study, Teferi's Ageless Insight, and The Theorist, Jace Beleren to ensure a continuous stream of fuel. Counter doublers such as Hardened Scales, Branching Evolution, and Doubling Season accelerate board growth exponentially. The deck closes games around Turn 6 by granting unblockable evasion with Herald of Secret Streams, overwhelming opponents with overrun combat, or triggering an alternate victory with Simic Ascendancy. A sturdy suite of protective instants, boots, and efficient counterspells guards the setup against interaction.
