Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet artifact midrange strategy commanded by Baxter Stockman. The game plan revolves around deploying cheap artifact creatures, mana rocks, and token producers early to establish board presence. Casting Baxter Stockman on Turn 4 or 5 provides an immediate 1/1 Robot token and turns any artifact attacker into a formidable threat by granting +3/+0, first strike, and vigilance during each of your combats. In the mid-to-late game, the deck scales up using heavy artifact threats like Myr Battlesphere and Combustible Gearhulk, while token engines like Thopter Spy Network and Saheeli, Sublime Artificer widen the board. Incremental burn from Reckless Fireweaver softens opposing life totals, while Daretti, Scrap Savant and Brilliance Unleashed provide graveyard recursion. The deck closes games through relentless combat damage, though its reliance on multi-turn creature attacks leaves it vulnerable to sweepers.
