Smaugs Desolation by user9484902

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug the Impenetrable

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

An aggressive Rakdos dragon deck built around repeatedly damaging Smaug to turn damage into Treasures. The main line is an immediate combo: Chain Lightning damages Smaug, Smaug makes Treasures, and the optional copy chain pays for itself, generating arbitrary Treasures and copies to kill each opponent. Backup lines use Blazing Sunsteel, Dizzying Gaze, or Pyrohemia to self-damage Smaug, plus Arcbond/Pain for All to convert those damage triggers into opponent life loss. Tutors and filter draw find one of these pieces. If Smaug stays on board, the deck wins quickly; if it is removed, the slower treasure/drain packages remain.
