Betor by Jayzis

Format: Commander

Commander: Betor, Kin to All

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is an Abzan toughness-matters midrange deck helmed by Betor, Kin to All. The plan is to flood the board with high-toughness bodies and Walls, convert that toughness into combat damage via Doran, the Siege Tower, Felothar the Steadfast, Assault Formation, and Huatli, the Sun's Heart, and ride Betor, Kin to All's end-step thresholds for card advantage, full untaps, and a table-wide half-life drain once total toughness hits 40. Life-gain payoffs (Trostani, Selesnya's Voice, Angelic Chorus, Verdant Sun's Avatar, South Wind Avatar) and defender ramp (Axebane Guardian) glue the engine together. There are no infinite combos; wins come from crushing combat, Tree of Perdition life-swaps, and Betor's drain. The commander is a repeatable draw/untap engine and a finisher, but the 99 still executes a coherent beatdown plan without it.
