Deck overview

This deck is a competitive mono-blue combo-control strategy led by Orvar, the All-Form. Orvar turns cheap single-target spells into powerful permanent duplication triggers whenever they target a permanent you control. The deck accelerates in the opening turns using premier fast mana rocks and cost reducers like Sapphire Medallion to deploy Orvar ahead of curve. Once Orvar is on the battlefield, low-cost buyback and untap spells such as Whim of Volrath, Clockspinning, and Twiddle target high-value permanents like Coveted Jewel, Powerstone Shard, or Islands under High Tide. This generates arbitrarily large mana and draws the library in a single compressed turn. The deck finishes decisively with Thassa's Oracle, Aetherflux Reservoir, or infinite bounce loops via Venser, Shaper Savant. Robust free countermagic, including Force of Will and Fierce Guardianship, shields the combo, while asymmetric tools like Cursed Totem and Narset, Parter of Veils disrupt opposing development.
