Shadowheart, Dark Justiciar by user3813426

Format: Commander

Commander: Shadowheart, Dark Justiciar and Haunted One

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black Cleric-tribal aristocrats build helmed by Shadowheart, Dark Justiciar with the Haunted One Background. The primary game plan is to generate value by sacrificing creatures for card draw (via Shadowheart) and drain triggers (Ayara, First of Locthwain, Zulaport Cutthroat, Bastion of Remembrance), while using the Background's undying ability to create a resilient board that keeps coming back. The deck wins by grinding out life totals with repeated death triggers and a finisher like Gray Merchant of Asphodel or Syr Konrad, the Grim. It relies on a dense recursion package to rebuild from wipes and a handful of premium tutors to find key pieces.
